Spending Review 2010

Inquiry

The Committee agreed on 22 July 2010 that it would examine the (then forthcoming) Spending Review 2010. The Chancellor of the Exchequer, George Osborne, announced the details of the spending review for the years 2011/12 through to 2014/15 on 20 October 2010.

The Department for Business, Innovation and Skills published The Allocation of Science and Research Funding 2011/12 to 2014/15 on 20 December 2010. Alongside this, Research Councils published individual delivery plans detailing how they intend to prioritise and spend their allocation over this period.

On 26 January 2011 the Committee issued a call for written evidence on the science and research budget allocations for 2011/12 to 2014/15.

No report is expected. The oral and written evidence was published on 8 November 2011.
