Committee holds session on Project Bloom

4 January 2021

The Work and Pensions Committee is to question representatives of Project Bloom – the taskforce set up by the Government to tackle pension scams.

Purpose of the session

The session is part of the inquiry into the pension freedoms and protecting savers. With responsibility for tackling and preventing scams shared across a range of organisations, the hearing will focus on how the agencies involved in the Project Bloom taskforce work together and coordinate their response.

The Committee’s inquiry is reviewing the impact of the pension freedoms five years on. After an initial focus on pension scams, it will examine accessing pension savings and saving for later life.
