Humanitarian response to Cyclone Idai inquiry

Inquiry

The Committee took evidence from DFID, and organisations providing humanitarian aid in southern Africa in the wake of Cyclone Idai, on the situation in Malawi, Mozambique and Zimbabwe. The Committee focused on: the scale of the emergency; the allocation of funding and provision of aid against assessments of need; and the impact of Cyclone Idai on DFID’s existing country programmes and initiatives for longer term development in each country.
