This inquiry considers the accountability of Public Health England.

As an executive agency of the Department of Health, Public Health England began operating on 1 April 2013. It formed as a result of reorganisation of the National Health Service in England as outlined in the Health and Social Care Act 2012 (PDF 1.35MB). Its mission is to protect and improve the nation’s health and to address inequalities.
