Purpose of the session
During this introductory session of the inquiry, the Committee will hear about the key aspects of Turkey's foreign policy and domestic dynamics. These will include:
- Turkey's foreign-policy objectives, and its role in regional security
- Turkey's political direction, and the status of rights and freedoms in the country
- The 15 July coup attempt, its perpetrators, and its consequences
