The Committee conducted an inquiry into the UK Government’s response to extremism and political instability in North and West Africa, looking into the factors that contributed to the crisis in Mali, whether they are at risk of arising elsewhere in the wider region, and the UK’s policy on dealing with them, including its work with international partners to combat extremism and instability.
