British foreign policy and 'Arab Spring': transition to democracy

The Committee is holding the second of its evidence sessions in its inquiry into British foreign policy and the ‘Arab Spring’: the transition to democracy.

The first half of the session is expected to take a broad view of recent developments and the prospects for transition to democracy across the Middle East. The second half is likely to look in more detail at how the FCO can support the UK’s business interests in Egypt and Libya.
