UK Government's renegotiation of EU membership: parliamentary sovereignty and scrutiny inquiry

Inquiry

Government response published

The House of Commons European Scrutiny Committee has announced how it will be scrutinising the UK Government during the renegotiation of the UK’s relationship with the European Union. Under House of Commons Standing Orders the Committee is appointed to consider the “legal and political importance” of individual EU documents as well as wider issues and related matters arising. It will therefore be paying particular attention to the legal aspects of the renegotiation.
