The Committee held two evidence sessions on Defra's Departmental Annual Report and Accounts (PDF 2 MB). Links to the transcripts are at the foot of this page.

The first evidence session, with the Permanent Secretary and officials, provided an opportunity for the Committee to ask about the administration and operation of the Department.

The second evidence session, with the Secretary of State, focused on Departmental Priorities and topical issues including the badger cull, climate change and GM foods.
