New Climate Economy

Inquiry

The New Climate Economy is the flagship project of the Global Commission on the Economy and Climate, an international initiative set up to analyse and communicate the economic benefits and costs of acting on climate change. Its report “Better Growth, Better Climate” was published on 16 September 2014. It asks the question: How can decision-makers achieve their economic and social goals while simultaneously reducing the risk of dangerous climate change?

The session will explore the main findings of the New Climate Economy report, and its implications for domestic and international policy.
