Opportunity areas: Education Committee to hold roundtable discussion

26 April 2019

The Education Committee is holding a roundtable meeting with representatives from opportunity areas (OA) across England to discuss how the programme is working to support children and young people in disadvantaged areas.

The OA programme was announced by the Government in 2016 with the aim of providing additional support in disadvantaged areas to improve outcomes for young people. The programme also aims to learn from what works in the 12 OA areas and spread effective practice.
