The role of School Governing Bodies

Inquiry

This inquiry looked at the existing role of governing bodies, and the implications of recent Government policy developments in education for them, as well as a range of issues concerning recruitment, reward and responsibilities. The Education Committee Report found that too few school governing bodies are taking advantage of new regulations to make them more effective, and that more support was needed to help school governors raise their game.
