The Defence Committee annually examines the Ministry of Defence’s financial performance and progress in key programmes, following the publication of the Ministry’s Annual Report and Accounts. The Ministry published its latest set of accounts for 2017-18 on 19 July 2018.

This year, the Committee expects to question the Ministry on its financial management and progress in its savings, people and estates programmes. The Committee will also look for an update from the Ministry on the ongoing Modernising Defence Programme
