Greater London Authority Act 2007 and the London Assembly

Inquiry

Following receipt of a memorandum (333 KB PDF) from the Department for Communities and Local Government reviewing the Act, the Committee decided to carry out post-legislative scrutiny of the legislation.

The Committee's inquiry has focussed on the effectiveness of the legislation, specifically examining whether the Act has met its policy objective and the powers and operation of the London Assembly.
