Online fraud and child exploitation examined

The Home Affairs Committee continues its inquiry on the Home Office's preparedness for Covid-19. In this session the Committee examines the scale of online fraud and child abuse during the lockdown period, and any trends or emerging concerns.

The Committee will also examine the challenges facing the police and other agencies in combatting online crimes and the effectiveness of support for victims, in light of recent criticism of Action Fraud and reports of increased online child abuse activity during the pandemic.
