Catering Services in the House of Commons

Inquiry

The Administration Committee published its Report on Catering and Retail Services in the House of Commons in May 2011, and the Commission response was published in October 2011. A substantial number of the Report’s recommendations have since been put into action, and the House’s Catering Service is also undergoing a business improvement process with the intention of reducing the overall cost of providing the service. The Retail Service has now been reorganised, and steps are being taken to increase revenues gained by the House from retail activities including souvenir sales and parliamentary shops.
