The Committee on Standards will tomorrow hear evidence from the Leader of the House of Commons, Rt Hon Mark Spencer MP, and Paymaster General and Minister for the Cabinet Office Rt Hon Michael Ellis MP.
The Ministers will give evidence together in front of the Committee on 26th April in what is expected to be the final evidence session on the Committee’s Code of Conduct inquiry.

The Ministers may also be questioned on the matter of second jobs for MPs, whether Ministerial interests and Members’ interests should be published in the same way, and the proposals to include a ‘respect’ principle in the Guide to the Rules
Following the evidence session, the Committee will begin finalising a final report with a package of proposed reforms to the Code of Conduct for the House to approve. The final report will also take into account recommendations made by Sir Ernest Ryder in his review of the standards system.
