Preventing Violence Against Women and Girls

The Women and Equalities Committee announced its inquiry on preventing violence against women and girls in November 2021, following the launch of the Government's tackling violence against women and girls strategy.

The Committee has an 'umbrella' of work in this area, including misogyny in music, so-called honour-based abuse, attitudes towards women and girls in educational settings, the escalation of violence against women and girls, and pornography and its impact on violence against women and girls.
