Is the Government supporting women going through the menopause? Ministers to answer to MPs

The Women and Equalities Committee is to question Government Ministers, concluding its inquiry into Menopause and the Workplace. Drawing on evidence heard from a range of witnesses in four previous evidence sessions, the Committee will scrutinise Government action taken to date, and raise issues and proposals presented during the course of the inquiry.

The Committee will investigate the extent to which the Government is willing to introduce policies and initiatives designed to support women going through menopause in the workplace. Topics are likely to include the stigma associated with going through the menopause, training for medical professionals, advice for employers, changes to legislation and access to services, information and treatment such as HRT.
