Adult Social Care Committee to explore reform proposals with Government officials
On Monday, 7 March, the Adult Social Care Committee will begin its inquiry, by holding its first public evidence session with officials from the Department for Health & Social Care (DHSC). The Government has announced a host of reforms to health and social care in the last few years – the Health and Social Care Bill, the Health and Social Care Levy Act, People at the Heart of Care (the White Paper on social care reform) and Joining up Care for People, Places and Populations (the White Paper on integration). In this session, the Committee will have an opportunity to explore in greater detail these reforms, particularly the White Paper on social care reform, and some of the assessments underlying the White Paper’s proposals.
