The session will explore the Government’s aims for reforming human rights legislation and the implications of its proposed reforms. This will include questions on how it sees rights currently protected under the Human Rights Act being secured in the future, including the proposal to establish a Bill of Rights. It will also examine how the reforms might alter the relationship between the UK Courts, the Government and Parliament in the protection of basic human rights.
