15 December 2021 - Investigation and prosecution of rape - Oral evidence

The Committee will question the Minister for Safeguarding on the end-to-end Rape Review, the Government’s action plan to return prosecution rates to 2016 levels. The session will examine if the strategy is ambitious enough to drive meaningful change and if it is adaptable to react to new data. It will also investigate the Government’s position on police-led innovations, including RASSO units, and look at what more can be done to improve the response of the criminal justice system.
