Committee to hear evidence from energy networks on net zero
The Industry and Regulators Committee will speak to energy networks about the future of the energy system and the role of Ofgem, the energy regulator. The Committee will discuss the potential for renewables and hydrogen to play a greater role in the energy system, whether enough investment is being allowed for the net zero transition, and how the transition should be regulated.

Possible questions include:
- Is there a clear policy framework in place to support the objective of a net zero energy system?
- How might a more renewable energy system affect the security of the UK’s energy supply?
- Has the Government provided sufficient clarity on the future of heat, including hydrogen?
- What role should Ofgem play in the transition to net zero, and is a coordinating body required?
