Academics questioned about Ofgem’s role in net zero

The Industry and Regulators Committee will speak to three academics about the role of the Office of Gas and Electricity Markets (Ofgem), the UK’s energy regulator, in the transition to net zero. The meeting will cover Ofgem’s objectives and powers, its work in protecting the interests of consumers, and its relationship to Government and Parliament.

  • What implications does the transition to net zero have for Ofgem’s relationship to the Government and Parliament?
