Which policies could prevent young people from becoming unemployed?

The Youth Unemployment Committee is holding two public evidence sessions on possible solutions to youth unemployment, including preventive measures. In the first session, the Committee listens to labour market policy experts speak on this longstanding issue. While in the second session, the Committee focuses on the views of education policy academics. These sessions form part of the Committee’s ongoing inquiry into youth unemployment, education and skills.

  • This evidence session is due to be held remotely and streamed on Parliament TV.
  • The committee’s work can be followed on its website and via Twitter.
