Biodiversity: Environment Minister to be questioned about Britain’s UN conference aims
Environment Minister Lord Goldsmith will face questions in the first public evidence session of the new House of Lords Environment and Climate Change Committee (Tuesday 15 June at 10.00 a.m.) as it launches a new inquiry.
The minister will be asked about the government’s priorities for and expectations of the UN Biodiversity Conference (COP 15) due to be held in China later this year.
The committee will hear also (at 11.15 a.m.) from world-renowned experts and campaigners about global biodiversity losses and lessons from Aichi biodiversity targets set previously.
