The EU Environment Sub-Committee will ask experts about the potential ecological impacts of offshore wind development in the North Sea and what further action could be taken to minimise these.

The session is expected to cover:

  • how well the ecological impacts of offshore wind are understood;
  • the availability and use of technological mitigations;
  • international cooperation on these issues;
  • the relevant policy and delivery frameworks that in place and how these could be improved.
