Committee explores the impact of community sport and outdoor activity

The House of Lords Sport and Recreation Committee will take evidence from organisations promoting participation in sport and physical activity. In the first session the Committee will hear from the Football Foundation, parkrun and GoodGym on their innovative approaches to get communities active. The second session will focus on how people can be encouraged to be active outdoors beyond traditional team sports, with evidence from the Outdoor Industries Association, Ramblers and Cycling UK.

  • What needs to be done to encourage young people to be active?
