MPs will hear evidence from education policy experts and teaching union leaders on a range of subjects included in the White Paper, including:
- Attempts to close the ‘disadvantage gap’ at GCSE
- Changes to accountability measures such as Progress 8 scores
- Proposals to set specific attendance targets for each school
MPs are also likely to discuss the White Paper’s impact on teaching recruitment and retention, as well as more recent developments such as new proposals to improve access to technical education.
