What is the future of the Commonwealth? Foreign Affairs Committee to hold session
What is the Commonwealth’s place in the world? And what are the key challenges it faces? The Foreign Affairs Committee will hold a one-off evidence session on Commonwealth of Nations at 10.30 on Tuesday 8 September.
In this session, Members will hear from expert witnesses and officials from the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO).
The session will look ahead to the upcoming Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in November and ask how the UK Government should approach the summit. Questions are likely to cover the key issues within the Commonwealth, including reparations, the effects of climate change, and the Commonwealth Games.
