Secretary of State faces EFRA on water sector, farming support and food security 

Defra Secretary Emma Reynolds will face questions on a range of topics that the EFRA Committee has examined in this Parliament. 

MPs are likely to ask the Secretary of State and senior officials (full witness details below) about the following: 

  • Corporate leadership of water companies and the future of Thames Water 
  • The Farming Road Map, Environmental Land Management schemes and Sustainable Farming Initiatives 
  • Supply chain fairness, food security and prices 
  • Biosecurity and the forthcoming UK-EU sanitary and phytosanitary (SPS) deal 
  • Support for the UK’s fishing sector 
  • Climate adaptation, including coastal erosion and wildfires
