Defence Investment Plan: Lord Robertson and General Barrons, SDR authors, give evidence
Two of the authors of the Strategic Defence Review (SDR), Lord Robertson and General Sir Richard Barrons, will give evidence to the Defence Committee on the newly published Defence Investment Plan (DIP).
The DIP was intended to provide detail on how the Government will deliver the vision set out in the SDR, which was published in June 2025. In this session, the Committee will ask the two reviewers for their perspective on the DIP.

Questions are likely to focus on whether the level of funding set out in the DIP represents sufficient investment. Members are likely to also discuss how effectively the DIP implements the recommendations agreed to in the SDR, including whether the pace set out in the DIP is enough.
