This session, part of the cross-party Committee’s food and weight management inquiry, will look at two different weight loss interventions - bariatric surgery and the Type 2 diabetes remission programme – and examine what role they should play in the future of NHS weight management services, including in the light of GLP1 drugs such as Mounjaro. The Committee will also explore options for improving the patient journey between different weight loss treatments.
