Elections and misinformation - MPs question social media and online experts as part of modernising elections inquiry
On Tuesday morning, the Housing, Communities and Local Government committee continues their modernising elections inquiry with a session exploring the potential impact on elections of misinformation and disinformation, the role of algorithms, and the effect of deepfakes and AI generated content.
The cross-party group of MPs will question Marianna Spring, BBC disinformation and social media correspondent, alongside two panels of fact-checking, AI and online harm policy experts.
