Last summer, the Committee published a report on the handling of the departure of the previous Chief Executive Officer, Abby Thomas.

Following an unsuccessful recruitment campaign to replace the former Chair, Baroness Manzoor, an interim leadership team was installed. MPs are likely to question witnesses on when permanent appointments are likely to be made, particularly given that the organisation is undergoing a period of significant reform.

The Committee may ask how those reforms are progressing, including plans for the FOS to more closely align with the Financial Conduct Authority’s rules.

Other issues which that could be raised include the FOS’s current handling of complaints, staffing and the impact of regulatory changes in relation to cryptoassets and Buy Now, Pay Later products.

The Grimond Room, Portcullis House
