Making commonhold work - Housing Committee examines Draft Commonhold and Leasehold Reform Bill

On Tuesday, the Housing, Communities and Local Government (HCLG) Committee examines making commonhold work and enabling the conversion of existing leasehold blocks as it continues the evidence sessions for its inquiry examining the Government’s draft Commonhold and Leasehold Reform Bill.

The cross-party Committee will hear from two witness panels including legal and property experts and conclude with a third panel, featuring Lord Best, Chair of the Regulation of Property Agents working group (the full witness list is included below).

The session on Tuesday morning will focus on questions around the commonhold model and whether any changes are needed to enable commonhold to be used in a wide range of developments in the future.

MPs will also take the opportunity to ask questions on shared ownership and the case for regulating management agents.
