Vodafone, Sky and TalkTalk to be quizzed on digital connectivity resilience in rural Scotland

The Scottish Affairs Committee will continue its inquiry into digital connectivity in Scotland, hearing from communications providers and the Digital Connectivity Forum.

In the first panel, the cross-party committee will hear from network providers VodafoneThree, TalkTalk and Sky, who did not have extra resilience built into networks during recent outages on Shetland and Orkney. MPs could examine why these networks lacked built-in redundancy, the impact of this lack of resilience on the local community and what barriers prevent greater resilience.
