Meeting details
MPs on the cross-party committee, chaired by Labour MP Sarah Owen, will discuss both men’s experiences of engaging with the manosphere as part of their work. James Bloodworth published his book Lost Boys in 2025, while James Blake presented a documentary, Men of the Manosphere, released last November.
This session will explore the factors that draw some men towards the manosphere and the impact of this online ecosystem. It will also examine how to prevent individuals becoming part of the manosphere and how to support men in disengaging from it.
WEC’s inquiry looks at how the ‘manosphere’ and other online content is fuelling misogyny. It analyses the effect of this content on attitudes and behaviour among men and boys, both online and offline, and what can be done to tackle this.
