Sam Woods to appear in front of MPs for final time as PRA Chief
The Treasury Committee will question senior officials at the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA), including CEO Sam Woods.
Meeting details
It is expected to be Mr Woods’ final appearance in front of MPs before the end of his second term, which comes in June this year. Occupants of the role can serve a maximum of two five-year terms. The Committee may ask for Mr Woods’ reflections on his time leading the PRA.
Mr Woods will appear alongside one of his Executive Directors, David Bailey, and two External Members of the Prudential Regulation Committee, Marjorie Ngwenya and Antony Jenkins.
Members of the Committee may question witnesses on the PRA’s contribution to growing the economy and some of the various consultations the regulator has published since its officials appeared in front of the Committee last year.
