Mark Rowley questioned on work of Met Police
The Home Affairs Committee will question Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police, Sir Mark Rowley.
Meeting details
The session will explore the work of the Met Police and assess what progress that has been made in addressing key challenges since the Commissioner took up his post. This will include performance in tackling crime, supporting victims and protecting communities. It will also examine what progress has been made in reforming the culture of the force following a series of scandals.
Reforms announced in the policing White Paper could see some of the national functions currently carried out by the Met moved to a national body. The session will explore the Commissioner’s response to these proposals as well as the impact of wider measures on policing in London.
