Committee to quiz Great British Energy Chief Executive
The Scottish Affairs Committee will question Great British Energy’s (GBE) Chief Executive, Dan McGrail, in the next evidence session of its inquiry into GBE and the transition to net zero.
This session marks the start of the second phase of the inquiry, which will explore Scotland’s role in the UK’s energy transition beyond oil and gas. Details on the first phase of the inquiry, which looked at the future of Scotland’s oil and gas industry, can be found here.
Meeting details
This session will be wide ranging, with questions from the cross-party committee likely to explore GBE’s funding and investments so far, its creation of clean energy jobs in Aberdeen in Scotland and the UK Government’s Clean Power by 2030 target.
MPs may ask about GBE’s plans to support communities hosting energy developments, to lower consumer energy bills and its relationship with other public bodies.
