Steve Reed, Secretary of State, to be questioned on housing delivery & 1.5 million new homes target by Housing Committee

The Housing, Communities and Local Government (HCLG) Committee will put questions to Rt Hon Steve Reed OBE MP, Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government.

This will be the new Secretary of State’s first appearance before the HCLG Committee, and he will face questions across the range of responsibilities of his department.

The cross-party group of MPs are expected to explore questions around action on homelessness, the Government’s target of 1.5 million new homes, and planning reform.

MPs are also likely to ask about the Government’s plans for Leasehold and Commonhold Reform, community cohesion, and local government finances.
