Committee to question Secretary of State Wes Streeting on the 10 Year Health Plan

The Health and Social Care Committee will question the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, the Rt Hon Wes Streeting, on the Government’s 10 Year Health Plan, in an evidence session at 2pm on Monday 14 July.

The CEO of the NHS, Sir Jim Mackey, and the Director General for the 10 Year Plan at the Department of Health and Social Care will appear on the panel alongside the Health Secretary. 

MPs will explore key aspects of the plan including the Government’s three shifts, from analogue to digital, sickness to prevention, and hospital to community.  

Witnesses will be asked about the plans for neighbourhood health services and the Government’s ambitions for the NHS app.  

The session will also see the Committee pose questions on workforce issues, quality of care, patient experience and the productivity of services, as well as future financial models and reforms to capital investment.
