Foreign Secretary quizzed on vision for UK aid amid cuts
On Wednesday, MPs will question Foreign Secretary David Lammy on the future of UK aid amid sharp cuts to the foreign aid budget.
In his first appearance before the Committee, the Foreign Secretary is likely to be asked for his views on a wide range of topics around the work of the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO).

Topics for discussion could include:
- The impacts of cutting the UK aid budget from 0.5% to 0.3% of gross national income (GNI)
- The Government’s approach to the conflict in the Occupied Palestinian Territories, Sudan, and other humanitarian crises
- How the Government plans to continue to address issues such as climate change, global health challenges and gender equality though its aid spending
