Foreign Secretary to face questions from the Foreign Affairs Committee

The Secretary of State at the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), David Lammy MP, faces questions from the Foreign Affairs Committee at 2pm on Tuesday 17 June. The new Permanent Under-Secretary at the FCDO, Sir Oliver Robbins, will make his first appearance in front of the Committee, alongside Mr Lammy.

The session will examine the work of the FCDO and will cover a range of foreign policy matters. Topics likely to be covered include the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

Members are likely to ask questions about the impact of the Spending Review and the “alarming” cuts to the FCDO.
