Support for military veterans to be examined by Scottish Affairs Committee
MPs will explore issues surrounding support for military veterans in Scotland. In this one-off evidence session, the committee will hear evidence from the Scottish Veterans Commissioner and Veterans Scotland, who are likely to be asked about the transition from service to civilian life.
Meeting details
MPs may also ask witnesses about provision of healthcare for veterans, interaction veterans have with the justice system, as well as problems with accessing housing and homelessness. Other questions could explore employment opportunities and the possibility of extending the Armed Forces Covenant’s legal duty to devolved governments.
