The Justice Committee will question the Rt Hon David Gauke during a one-off evidence session in Parliament on Tuesday, 17 June on the Independent Sentencing Review.

MPs on the cross-party committee chaired by Labour MP Andy Slaughter will examine the findings and recommendations of the Independent Sentencing Review, published on May 22.

The session will focus on the review’s proposals, particularly in relation to sentencing reform, prison capacity, and alternatives to custody. MPs may also discuss the potential implications for future legislation, including the forthcoming Sentencing Bill.
