 Civil society organisations give evidence to Strengthening Northern Ireland’s voice inquiry

On Wednesday, 30 May at 10:45am,  the Northern Ireland Scrutiny Committee will hear from two civil society organisations, NICVA  and Co-operation Ireland, in the third evidence session of its inquiry on Strengthening Northern Ireland’s voice in context of Windsor Framework.

Possible questions include: 

  • Could you assess  the extent to which the voices of Northern Ireland civil society and voluntary sector organisations are currently being heard in the context of the Windsor Framework?
  • Is it clear to Northern Ireland civil society stakeholders how they can engage with the structures which govern the Windsor Framework? Could more be done to make these structures more accessible?
  • Do civil society stakeholders have the opportunity to engage directly with the European Commission?
  • Do the UK Government and the Northern Ireland Executive Office provide sufficient support to civil society and voluntary sector stakeholders to enable them to engage with EU stakeholders effectively?
