Does VAWG funding deliver the right services?

Funding for services tackling violence against women and girls comes from a range of sources, including central government, local government, Police and Crime Commissioners and charities. The funding supports a range of governmental and charity organisations who run services designed to combat violence against women and girls, and support victims.

Purpose of the session

In this session, the Home Affairs Committee will speak to four service providers and umbrella organisations about their perspective on accessing funding and its impact on the provision of services. It will examine how well funding identifies the complex and specialised services needed to support victims of VAWG, and how the value of services is assessed. The Committee will also consider what improvements could be made to improve how funding is co-ordinated and planned over the long-term.
