WEC to hear from five female founders on entrepreneurship
The Women and Equalities Committee (WEC) will hear from five female entrepreneurs across different business sectors during the second evidence session of its female entrepreneurship inquiry on Wednesday, 7 May.
Meeting details
MPs on the cross-party committee chaired by Labour MP Sarah Owen will explore the experiences of entrepreneurship with five female founders. Discussion will focus on issues including starting, growing, and sustaining their businesses, raising capital and accessing support.
WEC’s inquiry on female entrepreneurship examines the barriers women face pursuing entrepreneurialism, analysing in which sectors of the economy women face the greatest obstacles to entrepreneurship and why, and considers what can be done to address these.
The inquiry’s first evidence session in April examined the current state of female entrepreneurship in the UK.
